Assist Personal Activities

Assisting with personal activities is a fundamental aspect of NDIS services. At Equal Disability Services, we aim to support individuals with disabilities in carrying out essential tasks related to personal care, hygiene, and daily living. Our goal is to enhance independence, dignity, and overall quality of life for our clients.

  • Personal Care Assistance: We provide help with daily personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene. Our trained support workers ensure that these tasks are performed safely and effectively, respecting the individual’s preferences and promoting their dignity and comfort.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Assistance with mobility and transfers includes support in moving around the home, getting in and out of bed, or using mobility aids like wheelchairs and walkers.
  • Meal Preparation and Feeding: Support in preparing nutritious meals and assistance with feeding is provided to ensure individuals maintain a healthy diet. This includes help with cooking, serving meals, and, if needed, feeding the individual. Special dietary requirements and personal preferences are always considered to ensure meals are both enjoyable and appropriate.
  • Medication Assistance: Ensuring individuals take their medications as prescribed is crucial for their health and well-being. Support workers assist with medication management, including reminding individuals to take their medications, helping them open containers, and monitoring for any side effects. This service ensures medications are taken correctly and safely.
  • Toileting and Continence Management: Support with toileting and continence management includes help with using the toilet, changing continence aids, and managing any related hygiene needs. Our support workers provide this assistance with sensitivity and respect, ensuring the individual’s comfort and dignity are maintained.
